Education At the household level, the highest school attainment among adult women (hhed5f) and among adult men (hhed5m) are taken from individual education records. Adults are defined as individuals 21 years or older. In households without an adult 21 or older, the education of the person listed as head or head's spouse is taken. The highest overall adult education (hhed5adult) is the maximum of highest male and highest female education.
